Connections built on shared values: tradition, integrity and a love of stories that stay with us.

“Every day is a canvas, and our actions are the brushstrokes we leave behind. It is the small touches that make something greater. Get involved, create, and make a difference.”

Hardy Krüger Jr.

Making A Difference

My professional acting career in Germany began with a role in the ARD series Nicht von schlechten Eltern, followed by a leading role in Gegen den Wind. Running from 1995 to 1999, the series regularly reached an audience of millions.

Since then, I have worked on numerous international productions, including Le Cocu magnifique, Asterix and Obelix vs. Caesar and Roger Young’s Dracula. A particularly formative experience was Stauffenberg, which won the German Television Award for Best Film. German audiences also know me as forest ranger Stefan Leitner in the ZDF series Forsthaus Falkenau, a role I played from 2006 to 2013.

Acting has never been my only means of creative expression. Cooking was an early passion, which I pursued through professional training as a chef and bartender. My debut novel, Der leise Ruf des Schmetterlings, was published in 2018. Photography has also been a lifelong companion; my exhibition Lost Paradise was shown at the Palmenhaus in Vienna in 2018. Painting, architecture and interior design continue to inspire me.

Services

Film is more than moving images. It is a way of creating emotion, telling stories and making ideas stay with an audience. As a director and filmmaker, I offer documentary and short-film production, editing and television production services. From the first creative concept to post-production, my focus is on visual strength, dramatic depth and carefully crafted storytelling.

Documentary
Filmmaking

Documentaries bring real stories to life with honesty and emotional depth. My work focuses on developing and producing films grounded in research, clear narrative structure and a strong visual language. From social issues and biographical portraits to investigative subjects, I aim to make complex themes accessible and offer audiences a deeper understanding.

Short Film
Production

Short films distil a story to its essence. I work across the creative process, from script development and direction to camera work and post-production. Character, staging and composition guide my approach, with the aim of creating concise films that leave a lasting impression.

Editing &
TV Production

Editing gives a story its shape and rhythm. In post-production, I develop visual narratives with a close attention to timing, pacing and dramatic tension. For television, advertising and digital formats, my focus is on coherent, engaging sequences, supported by considered colour correction and sound design.

Florian Zeller’s Der Sohn (The Son) is an intimate family drama about a teenager in crisis and parents searching for a way to reach him. It explores love, responsibility and the limits of understanding.

Das Licht der Erinnerung
My novel, published March 2026

Why I tell stories

Writing and filmmaking are more than forms of expression to me.
They are ways of reaching out to the world.

Stories can move us because they remind us:
of what we have lost,
of what we hope for,
and of what we may yet find.

I know what loss means.
I know what it takes to let go.
I have left much behind in order to move forward,
guided by the wish to find happiness again.

What I have rediscovered is love.
And a curiosity about what life still has in store.

Words and images can carry hope.
They can give us courage when reality is difficult.
They can remind us that even the hardest experience
does not have to be the final word.

That is why I tell stories:
to connect with people,
and to make the light visible.

I believe stories can change us.
Sometimes, that is enough to begin.

COMEDY
FISCH SUCHT FAHRRAD

Finding love later in life is no simple matter. Julia and Thomas, both in their late fifties, have recently divorced each other. Still friends and reluctant to grow old alone, they devise a plan for navigating dating apps, singles events and blind dates: whenever one meets a potential partner, the other stays nearby as a safety net. What follows is a series of increasingly eccentric encounters that their well-meaning interventions turn into glorious chaos.

Peter Quilter’s plays have been performed in London’s West End, on Broadway and in more than 40 countries. This German-language production of The Dating Game is presented by Schlosspark Theater in a translation by Nathalie Hallervorden.

Hardy on Stars in der Manege

On the television show Stars in der Manege, I had the opportunity to perform classical dressage alongside a remarkable Andalusian horse: a kind of ballet on horseback. It was an unforgettable experience, showing the trust between horse and rider and bringing the elegance of this tradition into the arena.

Stories close to my heart

Buchcover „Das Licht der Erinnerung“ von Hardy Krüger Jr.

My novel Das Licht der Erinnerung was published in March 2026. It continues the story that began in Der leise Ruf des Schmetterlings.

The book follows David and Laura, two people who meet and fall in love in Rome, only to have their lives changed by a sudden loss. It is a story about love, letting go, and what remains when we think we have lost everything.

I wanted to return to the quiet notes of the first novel: the beauty of a moment and the power of memory.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

and the power of a moment.

Searching for meaning, David hopes to begin a new life in Rome. Through his encounters with others, he starts to question the importance he has placed on appearances and gradually discovers a deeper understanding of life.

“What I have come to understand is that life’s greatest things can be found in its smallest moments.”

Here begins his journey towards happiness. Towards himself.
